The feet contain more sweat glands than any other part of the body, so it’s no wonder we can all get prone to sweaty feet from time to time!

If you’re one of the unfortunate ones who get sweaty feet more often than you’d like, there are ways to prevent and manage the annoying and sometimes embarrassing condition.

To prevent sweaty feet, first and foremost, ensure you choose the correct footwear. Shoes that allow your foot to breathe will help reduce sweat. Make sure your shoes are the correct size so as not to cramp the feet and toes, this too can contribute to perspiration.

Antifungal powders and even applying antiperspirant deodorant to the feet can help keep the feet dry, and drinking lots of water throughout the day will keep you hydrated, reducing sweat.

If you’re having one of those sweaty feet days and need a quick fix, we’ve got a couple of tricks you can try.

A quick change of shoes could be all your feet need, so carry some spares with you in case of a sweaty feet emergency. If you’re at home, give them a wash – a) it’ll cool your body temperature down and b) will wash away all of that sweat!

If you dare, you can even try a black tea foot bath, or dab some rubbing alcohol to the affected area (just don’t use too much or it could irritate the skin!)

Remember, if your feet are sweating excessively it might be time to see a doctor. Sweaty feet can lead to further foot conditions, so best to get them checked and make sure you get into a pair of Aussie Soles
